How People Learn

This topic is about innovation education and the use of technology thereof.

People learn mainly by doing and in collaborative learning. The following characteristics are important to consider when preparing a class especially regarding technology.

· The context of the school

· The values of the students

· The environment of the school (Urban & Rural)

· The age

· The willingness to acquire knowledge and share it

· The culture

· The innate capabilities that all humans have to learn and improve upon that previous knowledge

· The resources available (human and economic)

· The openness to reflect on knowledge already digested or in the process

· The beauty of getting people to discover new and fascinating knowledge

Human beings have an innate capability and desire to learn and most people like to share knowledge with others. Every person can learn, but what is needed is willingness, some resources and capable facilitators to guide students in the process.

Regarding this statement, I think that Technology allows coming to class with a previous knowledge about what the professor is going to talk about.
One example is here at ULACIT when we have Blackboard as an important tool to be in touched with professor, and classmates when we have a doubt.
Also, it allows us to access to the material online, read it, and watch videos, post comments, and make questions, so interaction and cooperative learning take place through this tool.
